Wasps and hornets
Paper wasps, red wasps and hornets
These build in the open: under an eave, on a railing, inside a light fixture, in a shrub. They are most active from late spring to the first cold nights.
Signs you have one
A gray or brown nest the size of a coin, a hand or a football.
Wasps landing on the same spot all day, and flying off in a line.
More wasps near a door, a grill or a trash can than anywhere else.
A new nest after you knocked one down. They rebuild in the same place.

What we do
Four steps, in the order we do them
- 01
We find every nest
One nest in view usually means another on the back side. We walk the roofline, fences and trees before we price the job.
- 02
We write the price
You read it before we treat. It is the number on the invoice.
- 03
We treat at dusk
Wasps are home and slow. A licensed applicator follows the product label and keeps you and your pets clear.
- 04
We take it down
Once the nest is quiet and within reach, we take it down and bag it. We text the next morning.
Before and after
What you do around a visit
Before we come
Bring pets in and keep children indoors
Move cars and grills that are under the nest
Leave the nest alone and keep the lights near it off
After we leave
Keep people and pets away from the treated area until we say
Expect a few wasps to circle the spot for a day or two
Text us if it is still busy after seven days
Questions
About wasps and hornets
Can I knock the nest down myself?
We would not. A disturbed nest is defended, and the wasps that are out come home to find it gone. Treat it at dusk and let it go quiet first.
How many visits does it take?
Most nests are one visit. If wasps are still active around the nest after seven days, call us and we will come back to the same nest.
Will they rebuild?
Wasps can start a new nest in the same sheltered spot. We tell you where that is likely, and whether closing a gap or moving a fixture would help.
Nest on the house?

Or text a photo from across the yard and we will tell you what it is.
